We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking, and self-motivated Engineering Technician / Designer to join our Transportation practice for a full-time position in our Rochester, NY office.
Duties include:
  • Generate highway, bridge and site plans along with the associated details.
  • Assist technical staff in specialized designs.
  • Provide MicroStation and InRoads support and analysis.

Requirements
  • A.S. degree or equivalent from 2-year college or technical school in CAD or Drafting.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in the use of MicroStation and InRoads is preferred.
  • Knowledge in NYSDOT CAD standards and the basics of transportation design a plus.

Estimated Pay Range: $28 - 32/hour.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
