Job description

We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill an Engineering Technician / Designer position to join our Transportation practice for a full-time position in our Rochester, NY office.

Duties include:

  • Generate highway, bridge and site plans along with the associated details.
  • Assist technical staff in specialized designs.
  • Provide MicroStation and OpenRoads/InRoads support and analysis.

Requirements

  • A.S. degree or equivalent, or technical school in CAD/Drafting, or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5+ years of relevant experience is preferred, entry level candidates will be considered.
  • Training/experience in the use of CAD/Drafting software. Proficiency in the use of MicroStation CONNECT Edition and OpenRoads/InRoads is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge in NYSDOT CAD standards and the basics of transportation design a plus.
  • Should have good planning and organization skills.
  • Should have the ability to work as a part of a team.
  • Must be self-motivated.
  • Have the ability to communicate proficiently written and verbally.
