Job description

We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Quality Control Technician. This position reports to the Quality Manager and will work in Stuart/Port St Lucie, Florida.
About the position
As Quality Control Technician of the Stuart/Port St Lucie team, you will be involved in improving customer satisfaction results through resolution of complaints, driving policy, processes, and individual performance improvement through quality audits, reporting and employee development processes. The Quality Technician should be able to communicate ideas well and connect business needs to solutions.
Your Main Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing Quality and EHS documentation as needed according to the ISO framework
  • Identifying and resolving quality and process problems using quality tools such as 8-D, 5-Why, pareto analysis, SPC, capability studies, etc.
  • Identify trends and make recommendations based on data collected for process and product improvements
  • Administration of company calibration program
  • Assist Tech Services Department with diagnosing and resolving quality related issues as needed
  • Work alongside personnel in warranty department and assist with processing return and repair products in addition to warranty claims
  • Assist in support of engineering, purchasing strategies and other activities as required
  • Assist production with quality issues
  • Work with purchasing department and vendors to resolve/improve supplier-quality issues
  • Work with suppliers and purchasing regarding purchased parts as related to quality
  • Membership on the Safety Committee
  • Maintain ISO certifications, the MRB process, calibration program, and assist to identify and resolve quality, environmental, and health & safety issues
  • Internal audits of processes and procedures
  • Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Tech Service and Sales departments to respond to quality concerns and performing technical analysis
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Requirements
A suitable background would be a solid experience within Quality Control and manufacturing as well as the following qualifications and experiences:
  • High School diploma
  • Experience with electronic ignition systems and components a plus
  • 2-5 years of experience in a quality control position, preferable in an electrical or electronics manufacturing setting
  • Capable, energetic individual able to work with a cross-functional team to ensure product and process conformance
  • Organized team player who can take initiative and work according to department priorities
  • Quality and customer-focused, self-motivated
  • Dedication to continuous improvement
  • Intermediate skill in MS Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform other basic physical demands of the position as needed
