Position Summary
East Coast Warehouse is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Network Administrator to support our Houston (Baytown) distribution facility. This position serves as the primary onsite IT resource responsible for the daily operation, support, and maintenance of all technology within the facility while also participating in enterprise infrastructure initiatives across all East Coast Warehouse locations.
This is a hands-on infrastructure role requiring a well-rounded IT professional with strong experience in networking, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server technologies, endpoint management, and enterprise infrastructure. Because this individual will be the sole onsite IT representative for the Houston operation, they must also be comfortable providing end-user support, troubleshooting warehouse technologies, coordinating vendors, and ensuring the uninterrupted operation of the site's technology environment.
The ideal candidate possesses excellent technical knowledge, outstanding customer service skills, and the ability to balance strategic infrastructure projects with day-to-day operational support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site IT Operations
  • Serve as the primary onsite IT resource for the Houston facility.
  • Provide daily operational support for warehouse and office associates.
  • Ensure maximum uptime for all IT infrastructure and end-user technologies.
  • Respond to incidents and service requests while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with corporate IT leadership on operational priorities and infrastructure initiatives.

2. Enterprise Infrastructure Administration
  • Administer and support enterprise network infrastructure across multiple ECW locations.
  • Participate in infrastructure deployments, upgrades, and standardization projects company-wide.
  • Support Microsoft Azure services including:
    • Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)
    • Azure Virtual Machines
    • Azure Storage
    • Azure networking
    • Identity and access management
    • Conditional Access and MFA
  • Support Microsoft 365 services including:
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • Microsoft Teams
    • OneDrive
    • Microsoft Intune
    • Microsoft Defender
  • Assist with Active Directory administration, Group Policy management, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Server administration.
  • Participate in enterprise disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resiliency planning

3. Network Administration
  • Maintain and troubleshoot switching, routing, wireless, and WAN connectivity.
  • Support Extreme Networks switching infrastructure.
  • Support Cisco core networking equipment.
  • Assist with SD-WAN technologies and site connectivity.
  • Monitor network health and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Coordinate ISP installations and troubleshoot carrier circuits.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, rack elevations, and IP addressing standards.

4. Warehouse IT Operations
Provide support for warehouse-specific technologies including:
  • RF handheld scanners
  • Zebra and thermal label printers
  • Mobile workstations
  • Warehouse PCs
  • Tablets
  • Shipping workstations
  • Wireless infrastructure
  • Barcode scanning equipment
  • Warehouse management system connectivity

Partner closely with warehouse leadership to improve operational efficiency through technology.
5. End User Support
  • Provide Tier II and Tier III desktop support.
  • Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Configure laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
  • Perform hardware deployments, upgrades, and replacements.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Maintain endpoint security and compliance standards.

6. Vendor & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate onsite vendors including ISP providers, low-voltage contractors, security vendors, and infrastructure partners.
  • Validate completed work against corporate IT standards.
  • Participate in enterprise infrastructure projects across all ECW facilities.
  • Assist with planning, implementation, and documentation of new technology initiatives.

7. Security & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with corporate cybersecurity policies.
  • Support endpoint protection technologies.
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation.
  • Support identity and access management.
  • Maintain secure configurations for servers, endpoints, and networking equipment.
  • Participate in security incident response activities when required.

8. Asset & Documentation Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets.
  • Track hardware lifecycle and warranty information.
  • Maintain documentation for:
    • Network diagrams
    • Rack layouts
    • IP addressing
    • Standard operating procedures
    • Infrastructure configurations

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or related discipline preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environments strongly preferred.
