Surgical First Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical First Assistant to join our team for a 13-week assignment. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on cardiac procedures.

Unit Information
  • Unit Type: Cardiac First Assistant Tech โ€“ Vein Harvester
  • Location: Salt Lake City, UT
  • Floor: 2nd
Shift Requirements
  • Shift: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Weekend Requirements: Rotate call every third weekend
  • On Call Requirements: Every third weekday
Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of independent Endoscopic Vein Harvest experience utilizing either Terumo or Maquet 6 Pro.
  • At least 2 years of Open Heart First Assist experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with typical procedures performed in the unit, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, TAVR, aorta repair (open and endovascular), and thoracic surgeries.
Certifications

Required certifications include:

  • CSFA
  • CFA
  • SA-C
Additional Information

The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Scrub attire will be provided by the facility.
