Primary Function: To participate in activities with children which are designed to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth. This position will work with infants, toddlers, preschool, and school age students.
The Oxford Early Learning Center is looking for Assistant Teachers to join our team. At OELC you'll find a dynamic environment that is inclusive and collaborative. Qualifications - Education & Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED, required.
  • Experience or desire to work with preschool and school age children.
  • Ability to interact in a positive manner with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of basic physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of young children.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers with daily activities.
  • Responsible for the safety of children.
  • Follow childcare licensing guidelines.
  • Conduct activities that contribute to the care, growth, and development of children.
  • Greet parents, offering positive feedback about children when appropriate.
  • Maintain regular and predictable in-person attendance.
  • Support the OCS vision and mission.
  • Other duties as assigned.
