This position's key components include coordination with the various discipline areas, including scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through project closeout, and accountability for handling specific design aspects on projects appropriate to the discipline field.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform floodplain and HEC-RAS modeling
  • Assist and investigate watersheds/drainage areas, and perform hydrologic and hydraulic computations required to design and analyze complex drainage systems and stormwater management basins
  • Contribute to the preparation/modification of reports, construction plans, and designs for projects
  • Responsible for the delivery of project discipline scope elements, and assist in the preparation of project quantity/cost estimates

Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience investigating watersheds/drainage areas and performing hydrologic and hydraulic computations required to design and analyze drainage systems and stormwater management basins
  • Experience in culvert sizing
  • Working knowledge of hydrologic/hydraulic software such as HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
  • Familiarity in the design of NY Stormwater BMPs is preferred
  • Familiarity with LOMA, LOMR and CLOMR permitting preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
