Job description

Reports To: Production Manager

Program Description: This position assists in the manufacturing of PODs

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Primary Job Functions

· Ability to demonstrate or acquire the skills necessary to perform welding activities utilizing the GMAW /MIG, GTAW/TIG processes

· Demonstrate the ability to meet qualifications required per The American Welding Society Standards D1.1, D1.2, etc.

· Ability to learn how to trouble shoot and repair problems with welding machines

· Ability to Identifies need for replacement equipment and informs supervisor

· Ensures cost-effective usage of all equipment, supplies and tools

· Ensures accurate inventory

· Ability to assist supervisor with inventory control by charging materials to correct projects

· Ability to acquire or demonstrate the skills needed in order to mentor Fab Tech I employees and help them grow within the company as well as to increase overall efficiency for G-Con as a company

· Must be a team player and willing to help other personnel

· Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area

· Ensures equipment is maintained and in working order

· Must be willing to operate a grinder, metabo and stationary saws, and basic hand tools

· Ability to lift and carry 50lbs safely and repeatedly

· Acquire the skills and certifications needed to safely and efficiently operate forklifts/tele-tracks

· Ability to demonstrate or acquire the skills needed to read, comprehend and lay out fabrication materials per plan set specifications.

Essential Job Functions:

· Ability and willingness to travel

· Works unscheduled OT as needed

· Valid DL required

· Must be able to travel out of country on company business (passport required)

· Able to lift and carry 50 pounds unassisted regularly

· Required to work off ladders for extended periods of time

· Work safely 100% of the time

· Ability to read detailed drawings

Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Work History: Construction, manufacturing and fabrication experience
