Position Summary:
 The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing staff, and driving sales growth. This role is vital in maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of the store while upholding the values and standards of Matt's Warehouse Deals. The Assistant Store Manager will be a proactive leader who can step in as the manager when needed, helping to set goals, monitor performance, and keep the store running at its best.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in managing all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and store maintenance.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and ensure staff follows company policies to provide an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Supervise, train, and develop store staff, providing guidance and motivation to meet sales goals and deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain an organized and visually appealing store environment that aligns with company standards.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, ensuring that the store is meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Assist with scheduling, payroll, and managing labor costs to ensure effective store operations.
  • Ensure inventory is accurately tracked and orders are placed when necessary.
  • Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with store openings and closings, including overseeing cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
