Ace Hardware - Assistant Store Manager (Urgent)

The General Store / Ace Hardware Outpost in Spokane Valley, WA, is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Store Manager to join our team. As a locally owned business since 1946, we pride ourselves on offering a diverse range of products, from top brands in apparel to custom automotive parts and the state's largest selection of toys and sporting goods. Join us in creating a fun and loving work environment where you can grow both personally and professionally.

Customer Service

  • Proactively assist customers and ensure they receive top-notch service
  • Handle customer complaints effectively and maintain excellent product knowledge

Store Operations

  • Maintain a positive and safe work environment for all associates
  • Manage inventory levels, ensure compliance with policies, and monitor store profitability
  • Oversee merchandise stocking, maintenance, and cleanliness

Store Support Operations

  • Implement Store Support programs and ensure successful audits
  • Assist with special projects as directed by the General Manager

Hiring and Training of Associates

  • Recruit, train, and develop associates for career advancement
  • Support the hiring, scheduling, and coaching of all store associates

Pay: $20.00 / hour

  • Full-time position with benefits including paid time off, health insurance, employee discounts, and more

Our Toy department will amaze you with the state's largest selection of all the most popular toys from all the top brands. Lastly, the Sporting Goods department that will set you up for your next outdoor adventure. These hard working men and women are part of the fabric of your community. They are small business owners who are local and loyal...just like it ought to be. While others have become large and impersonal, at The General Store, we've remained small and very personal.
