Production Operations / Regulatory Tech
Location: Wichita, KS (Onsite – 5 days per week) -- willing to assist with relocation

We are partnering with a growing oil & gas operator in Wichita, KS that is looking to add a Production Operations / Regulatory Tech to their team. This role sits at the intersection of production operations, regulatory reporting, and technical data analysis. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting production reporting, preparing regulatory filings, and building dashboards to help operational teams monitor performance.
This individual will initially assist with drilling and completions technical work while supporting production and regulatory processes, with the opportunity to focus more deeply in their core area as the team expands.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage production reporting and regulatory filings for oil & gas operations.
- Support regulatory submissions and compliance requirements; experience with North Dakota filings is highly preferred.
- Develop and maintain Spotfire dashboards to support operational reporting and data visualization.
- Work closely with operations, land, and technical teams to ensure accurate production data and reporting.
- Utilize Excel and Access to analyze, organize, and manage production and operational data.
- Assist with drilling and completions technical support as needed while the team grows.
- Maintain and update well and operational data using internal systems.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with production reporting and regulatory filings in the oil & gas industry.
- 5-8 years of experience
- Strong experience with TIBCO Spotfire, including building dashboards and visualizations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Access.
- Experience working with WellEZ (ODW) or similar oil & gas operational systems.
- Understanding of broader oil & gas functions including operations and land.
- Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the North Dakota Bakken play
Preferred Qualifications
- SQL experience.
- Exposure to or experience working with SCADA systems.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Degrees in Mathematics, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical fields are strongly preferred.
