Summary
The Sports Reporter is responsible in assisting the Sports Editor in providing Sports stories for the publication of The Xavierite. The Sports Reporter is responsible for producing one to two sports stories for every issue of The Xavierite.
This student employment opportunity supports the development of skills aligned with the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) Career Readiness Competencies. Through this role, students will strengthen the following competencies:

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Produces one-two articles per week
  • Attends general staff meeting

  • Maintain weekly-posted office hours in The Xavierite office (4 hours per week).

  • Ensures that The Xavierite website has up to date material to be posted
  • Member of the Student Media Sports Committee

Qualifications
MUST BE A STUDENT AT SAINT XAVIER UNIVERSITY
Must be Federal Work Study Eligible
Must Include a Resume and Cover Letter
Preference in journalism, communication, or English.
