Job description

Performs Engineering functions related to oil and gas well services. This position may have supervisory or managing authority.

Analyzes, prepares and supervises the execution of engineering deliverables. Assists in the preparation of engineering project proposals and quotes. Participates in client meetings and resolving client/engineering and management project issues. Ensures effective engineering and client communications. Reviews and approves design information and adheres to sound engineering practices. Analyzes internal and external customer's needs, and provides recommendations/solutions. Trains personnel in the use of new or modified software or equipment. Develops and implements new and/or unique solutions to problems presented. Authors and publishes technical content to internal and external sources. Must complete Tasks associated with the following pieces of equipment: Firefighting pump Athey wagon Hydraulic athey wagon Dual jet cutter Single jet cutter Thermal rod cutter Pneumatic casing cutter Hot tap unit Gate Valve drilling unit Perform all modeling and calculations related to well kill and pumping, relief well, radiant heat, and gas dispersion. Perform field calculations. Develop Forward Operations and Daily Operations Plans during operations. Assist with all well control operations including diverting the well, capping the well, restoring the wellhead, casing cutting, firefighting, rigging up, rigging down, etc. and any other work as directed by the Team Leader. Assist with Final Report after all operations are completed. Perform Initial Blowout Assessment form during well control events involving a blowout or fire. Complete Job Detail Report daily to document all activities taken place. Provide daily estimated cost to Company. Provide daily estimated cost to Customer. Other duties as assigned.
