Korn Ferry is conducting a confidential search for a Senior Counsel - Commercial Contracts role for our client. This role offers an opportunity to be a part of one of the most complex and high-stakes global litigation portfolios in the engineering and construction industry. 

The Company 

A leading multinational engineering and construction firm, our client operates in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) industry, delivering complex, capital-intensive projects across infrastructure, energy, mining, and industrial sectors. The organization works in highly sophisticated environments, managing multibillion-dollar projects with significant technical, contractual, and financial complexity. 

The Role 

This is a senior, business-facing position for an attorney who can independently structure, negotiate, and execute a broad range of sophisticated, high-value EPC and complex commercial agreements across global operations. The portfolio is expected to be primarily customer-facing, alongside vendor and procurement-related matters. The role also offers the opportunity to mentor junior attorneys and provides a clear path to advancement based on performance. 

The Ideal Candidate 

  • 10-15+ years of commercial transactions experience 
  • Strong experience negotiating complex commercial agreements, including EPC or construction-related contracts 
  • Ability to lead negotiations independently and manage transactions end-to-end 
  • Experience with both customer-facing and vendor/procurement contracts 

Location: Houston, TX/Hybrid flex. Relocation available for the right candidate.
