Such compensation typically requires extensive expertise, advanced skills, and working at large tech companies or startups with significant funding.

Is it true that AI will replace software engineers?

Assistant Software Engineers work with programming languages, development tools, and problem-solving skills. While AI can automate certain coding tasks, it is unlikely to fully replace software engineers, as human oversight, creativity, and complex decision-making remain essential in software development.

  • Support project closeout activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final owner deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and help identify solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
  • Collaborate with field leadership to ensure alignment between office planning and field execution.
  • Support constructability reviews and preconstruction coordination activities as needed.

Qualifications
  • 2–5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or similar role with a general contractor.

  • Experience with podium, wrap, affordable housing, mixed-use, wood-frame, or urban infill developments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes including scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Experience supporting budgets, forecasting, procurement, and project controls preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced construction environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with preconstruction, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, or similar construction management software.
  • Experience working on projects ranging from 50–300+ units preferred.
