Job description

Operations Manager (Land and Snow) in overseeing daily field operations, managing landscape enhancement projects, coordinating maintenance crews, and assisting with snow removal operations during winter months. This role ensures high-quality service delivery, efficient use of resources, and positive client relationships throughout all seasons.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Landscape Enhancements:
  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing enhancement projects including installations, renovations, seasonal color, and landscape upgrades.
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure materials, equipment, and staffing are in place.
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, reporting variances to the Operations Director.
  • Conduct site visits to ensure proper execution, safety compliance, and adherence to quality standards.

Landscape Maintenance:
  • Support daily routing, scheduling, and mobilization of maintenance crews.
  • Ensure crews are prepared with necessary equipment, materials, and direction.
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new team members on maintenance practices and safety procedures.
  • Conduct regular site audits to verify scope of work and identify areas for improvement.
  • Address client concerns in collaboration with the Operations Director or Account Manager.

Snow Removal Operations:
  • Support planning and execution of snow removal operations during winter, including plowing, shoveling, and de-icing.
  • Coordinate snow removal crews, equipment mobilization, route management, and weather monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing snow equipment, verifying readiness, and ensuring proper deployment before and during snow events.
  • Monitor job performance during snow events and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  • Assist with post-event reporting and follow-up on client feedback or service adjustments.

Administrative & Leadership Support:
  • Maintain accurate records for job progress, labor hours, materials used, and weather-related documentation.
  • Assist in managing equipment inventories and coordinate repairs or maintenance.
  • Enforce safety protocols and company policies across all operations.
  • Provide input on crew performance and assist in coaching and development of field staff.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in landscape maintenance, construction, or snow operations.
  • Knowledge of horticulture, irrigation, enhancement installation, and snow removal practices.
  • Supervisory or crew leadership experience preferred.
  • Ability to interpret site plans, snow maps, work orders, and client specifications.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills across seasonal responsibilities.
  • Clear and professional communication skills.
  • Adaptability to respond to urgent weather events and after-hours work.
  • Familiarity with landscaping and snow removal equipment and best practices.
  • Proficiency in mobile field technology, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions year-round.
  • Physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and hands-on field tasks.
  • Flexibility for early mornings, nights, weekends, and on-call snow response during winter season.
