Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Mowing/Landscaping/Snow Removal Assistant to support our outdoor maintenance team. This role involves performing a variety of landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal tasks to ensure the safety and aesthetic appeal of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, possess basic mechanical knowledge, and be eager to learn and grow within the landscaping industry.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other hand tools to maintain lawns and landscaped areas
  • Perform landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, edging, and mulching
  • Use power tools and equipment such as excavators for construction or hardscape projects
  • Conduct snow plowing and removal during winter months to ensure safe access
  • Assist with bush care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate tools
  • Support landscape installation projects including hardscape features like patios or walkways
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety checks on tools and machinery

Experience

  • Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or snow removal is preferred but not required; training will be provided
  • Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and landscaping equipment is a plus
  • Familiarity with construction or horticulture practices is beneficial
  • Ability to operate equipment such as excavators or other heavy machinery is advantageous
  • Ability to operate a truck with a trailer and a valid driver's license is required. DOT physical card would be a plus.
  • Experience with tree care, irrigation systems, gardening, or hardscape installation will be considered an asset
