POSITION SUMMARY
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Slot Technician is responsible for major mechanical repairs, machine maintenance, conversions, floor moves, etc. to ensure compliance with state inspectors, state compact and internal controls.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Responsible for maintaining records relating to the removal, replacement, relocation, and repair of slot machines.
  2. Keeps an orderly inventory of parts and records of inventory in stock, purchased, and used.
  3. Repairs equipment used in Slot Department.
  4. Ensure slot machines are in good working order.
  5. Replaces parts and cleans machines as needed.
  6. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
  7. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
  8. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
  9. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
  10. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Previous slot technical experience.
  2. Excellent time management, organizational, public relations and communications skills.
  3. Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.
  4. Strong math skills
  5. Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.
  2. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  3. Ability to bend, stoop, reach and maneuver in tight spaces.
  4. Ability to assist with removal of machines from floor which weigh approximately 150 to 250 pounds with the aid of a dolly.
  5. Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS
Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Education Preferred:
Experience: Six Months related experience.
Computer Skills: Must have computer skills
Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
