Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a centralized Enterprise PMO supporting a Fortune 50 healthcare organization. This role will partner closely with the Observability and Splunk Engineering team to drive a high-visibility enterprise security migration that is currently in flight and targeted for completion by year-end.

This is an execution-focused project management role for someone who thrives in complex enterprise environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, asks thoughtful and probing questions, proactively identifies risks and downstream impacts, and confidently drives conversations forward rather than waiting for direction. Strong ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to operate independently are essential to success.

With project playbooks and governance already established, this individual will be responsible for keeping work moving, ensuring alignment across teams, and driving delivery through to completion.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of a large-scale enterprise software migration within the Security Engineering organization.
  • Drive project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items to ensure delivery against year-end timelines.
  • Facilitate project meetings by preparing structured agendas, leading discussions, documenting accurate meeting notes, and following through on action items.
  • Partner with engineering, security, infrastructure, and business stakeholders to coordinate work across multiple teams.
  • Ask thoughtful, probing questions to clarify requirements, uncover risks, and identify dependencies before they become blockers.
  • Proactively identify downstream impacts of project decisions and communicate risks, mitigation strategies, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Own project communications, status reporting, and stakeholder updates across the centralized PMO.
  • Maintain project tracking and portfolio updates within Jira while supporting Agile delivery practices.
  • Ensure project governance standards and PMO processes are consistently followed.
  • Drive accountability across stakeholders and maintain momentum through execution without requiring significant oversight.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience leading complex, enterprise-level technology projects as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager.
  • Experience managing enterprise software or SaaS implementation/migration projects from planning through execution.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple technical teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and experience working within Agile environments.
  • Experience using Jira for project planning, tracking, reporting, and portfolio management.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Proven ability to independently drive projects forward with minimal direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including meeting facilitation, documentation, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks, manage dependencies, and think several steps ahead to understand downstream impacts.
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions, asking clarifying questions, and speaking up when issues or risks arise.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Security Engineering, Observability, SIEM, or Infrastructure organizations.
  • Experience leading security-related technology migrations or modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, observability platforms, or log management technologies.
  • Exposure to Google Chronicle or similar cloud-native security/SIEM platforms.
  • Experience working within large, highly matrixed Fortune 500 enterprise environments.
  • PMP, Agile, Scrum, or SAFe certification.

What Makes Someone Successful in This Role

We're looking for someone who doesn't simply facilitate meetingsโ€”they actively drive outcomes. The ideal candidate is naturally inquisitive, isn't afraid to ask "why," proactively uncovers risks before they impact delivery, and keeps stakeholders aligned and accountable. They take ownership, communicate clearly, operate independently, and consistently move complex initiatives toward successful completion.
