As the Security Manager you will oversee the safety and security of all CFBNJ abilities, assets, equipment, personnel, and visitors. You will manage security protocols related to the storage of confidential information and documents.
What you'll do in your role:
  • Maintain a positive work attitude by acting and communicating in a manner conducive to good interpersonal relations (e.g., helpful, courteous, pleasant) with customers, all public, co-workers and managers, in accordance with the spirit of CFBNJ's mission.
  • Ensure that all facilities comply with local, state, federal, and Feeding America food safety requirements.
  • Manage Security Department scheduling and training.
  • Conduct and prepares reports relating to internal investigations of any losses or violations of CFBNJ regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in preparation of emergency management and contingency planning.
  • Annually review and audit all security processes and procedures to ensure all safety polices are maintained.
  • Regularly conduct physical security inspections of all facilities, including security equipment condition and operation.
  • Conduct searches of any place on premises, including vehicles, as required by CFBNJ security policy and procedures.
  • Assist with security issues regarding associates, such as procedures for terminations and violations of company policy including theft and violence situations.
  • Assist with incidents involving public law enforcement, fire and other agencies as it relates to security at CFBNJ or CFBNJ associates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:
  • 5 years of experience in managing a safety and security department
  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills Critical thinking to review and solve issues as they arise
  • Self-directed, able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously; ability to work under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with different departmental needs
  • Proficient data entry skills are required
  • Ability to work irregular hours as required by security operations with availability to work weekends as needed
  • Ability to respond to alarm/emergency situations with short notice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Pay Transparency: The salary range for this position is $64,271- $86,955. The final rate may be influenced by factors such as the position's scope and responsibilities, work experience, training, job-related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
