Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Coordinator in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a fast-paced retail distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify entry permissions as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery traffic in a retail and distribution setting.
  • Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders for security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
