Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Coordinator in Butner, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer at a fast-paced retail distribution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a professional atmosphere through strong communication and customer service. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will put people first, work with integrity, and contribute through teamwork every day.

Pay Rate: $18.04 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri05:30 AM - 03:30 PMSat07:00 AM - 07:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through proper channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, receiving areas, parking lots, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify entry permissions as directed by site policies, and assist with visitor, vendor, and delivery traffic in a retail and distribution setting.
  • Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by observing customer and employee activity, reporting suspicious behavior, and following post orders for security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
