Job description

Dynamic Church Planting International (DCPI) is looking for a full-time, support-raised Director of Curriculum to assess DCPI's current training curriculum and innovate to implement better hands-on activities, space for cultural contextualization of examples, and engagement for adult learners from various cultures. This leader will take into consideration what is working on the field and the needs of church planters and work with our Training Team to develop training curriculum for in-person training, online training, and webinar training platforms. This leader's goal is to look into the details of what we are teaching, so that we can be sure that we are producing the most effective church planters and church planting movement leaders possible for God's Kingdom worldwide.

About DCPI DCPI is a non-profit (501c3) organization based in Oceanside, California, with partners and staff working throughout the world. We train Christian leaders on every inhabited continent of the world to plant churches in their communities, in their languages. Because we primarily focus on supporting national leaders, we have seen God bring His Church to communities we could never reach in languages we could never speak.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Evaluate current training tracks to ensure that each track has appropriate hands-on activities to facilitate effective learning for diverse adult learners. Evaluate examples within training and work with world zone leaders to allow for contextualization of examples relevant to their world zones. Work with Training Team to evaluate what is working on the field and add it to our training curriculum.

Develop content or adjust content specifically for in-person training, online training, and webinar training. Support Director of Orality in development of additional storytelling versions of our training tracks. Regularly review and revise our training tracks within The DCPI System to ensure that we have all of the tracks necessary to equip leaders for every season of church planting.

Analyze output formats to ensure that delivery of curriculum is as effective and available to various learning styles, as desired, considering potentially publishing books, videos, etc. Collaborate with the Training Department, and World Zones to continually assess the effectiveness of current training materials. Potentially facilitate the creation of future tracks of training for DCPI.

Work with Director of Materials & Translations to ensure that curriculum improvements get translated and distributed to their world zones and trainers. SKILLS Futuristic thinking Team player, committed to working across departments to develop an fantastic product Excellent written and verbal communication skills Optional: Experience with church planting and/or church planting movements Ability to use or learn a variety of digital platforms PRODUCTS: DCPI's Training Tracks New & revised tracks of DCPI training COUNTERPARTS: Work with online training team to develop and adapt content (resources and scripts) for our learning management system. Work with DCPI Materials & Translations Department to design, translate, and catalog all newly released improvements/changes/formats.

Manage and collaborate with other content creators or task forces that are writing DCPI training tracks, etc. Work with international staff to learn how we can best contextualize and apply our training curriculum to their contexts. Work with staff and volunteers to review and edit new content.

Work with Communications team to spread the word about new training tracks to our leaders worldwide. AUTHORITY: Revision of current training materials and tracks Collect relationships and input with DCPI World Zone Leaders to facilitate feedback loops for our training curriculum. Create course content for new tracks of training Recruit church planting specialists to author or co-author new tracks of training Recruit staff and volunteers to assist with transcribing, reviewing, and editing new content ACCOUNTABILITY: Reports directly to Director of Training LOCATION This position is located in Oceanside, California or remote.
