Job description

Scripps Clinic Medical Group (SCMG) is a multi-specialty group with just over 1000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians serving San Diego and the surrounding region. Established more than 50 years ago, it is recognized as one of the premier medical groups in the country and boasts an excellent reputation in over 60 medical and surgical specialties.

General Description

A board certified or board eligible Endocrinology physician who will provide

outpatient evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with obesity to Scripps Clinic patients. Scripps Clinic Medical Group physicians maintain the highest standards for clinical capability, professional education, quality improvement and overall patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management program development activities

  • After-hours and hospital coverage, per current Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management requirements

  • Reports to the Medical Director of Scripps Clinic Center for Weight Management

  • Performs accurate, complete, and timely documentation using the electronic medical record

  • Maintains continuing medical education and board certification

  • Strives to achieve the Scripps Clinic Quadruple Aim

  • Improving patient experience

  • Improving population health/quality/safety

  • Improving efficiency/affordability of health care

  • Improving physician and staff satisfaction and engagement

Skills/ Experience

Requirements

  • Current California medical license

  • Current DEA certification

Preferred

  • ABIM certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism

  • Certification by American Board of Obesity Medicine

Optional

  • ABIM certification in Internal Medicine

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Clinic Medical Group posts the pay range for our open positions. Please note that actual pay will be

determined based on relevant experience within the pay range. Scripps Clinic Medical
