Job description

About the Job: Project Managers manage customer projects from award through closeout with increasing autonomy. You are responsible for safety, schedule, budget, and customer satisfaction while applying crane and rigging knowledge to plan and execute work efficiently. The Project Manager serves as a key point of contact for customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead planning, execution, and closeout of assigned crane and rigging projects.
  • Coordinate daily and weekly meetings with Superintendents and Project Engineers to align execution plans.
  • Review project estimates to determine job cost, staffing, equipment, and resource needs.
  • Monitor schedules, identify critical path risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee monthly job cost updates, support cash flow projections, and assist with change order management.
  • Communicate project status related to safety, schedule, cost, and risk to stakeholders.
  • Interface directly with customers, vendors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with Barnhart safety standards and applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Crane and rigging experience required
  • Working knowledge of crane and rigging operations and industrial construction principles.
  • Understanding construction contracts and changing management.
  • Strong planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • PMP certification preferred but not required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% annually.

Experience: 5-10 years of project management experience
