Position Summary

The Revenue Manager is responsible for driving client profitability, optimizing revenue operations, and leading a high-performing shared services accounting function. This role combines strategic financial analysis with operational leadership, ensuring accurate billing, efficient processes, and high-quality service delivery across client accounts. This position partners closely with Finance, Operations, and HR to deliver actionable insights, improve business performance, and support scalable growth.

Job Essentials, Responsibilities, Duties

  • Analyze client-level revenue, costs, and margins to ensure profitability and identify growth opportunities.
  • Evaluate engagement economics and recommend pricing strategies and operational improvements.
  • Produce financial, operational, and statistical information from multiple sources for use in decision-making and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify underperforming clients and develop action plans for improvement or disengagement where necessary.
  • Interpret and analyze volume of information to uncover meaning beneath the data.
  • Integrate and condense data to show trends, patterns and opportunities that support innovative, enlightened thinking and decision making.
  • Build modeling to help identify hour efficiencies for business management teams to understand team efficiency optimization.
  • Partners with Corporate Accounting, Business Management and HR to ensure billing and client analysis are being considered for staffing and other employee-related decisions.
  • Identify, implement, and manage tools to increase efficiency, increase client profitability, and assist in revenue forecasting.
  • Use technical and database knowledge to evaluate, recommend, implement & streamline systems and process optimizations.
  • Develop and support multiple databases with input from various key systems including CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, BQE Core, Excel, and other databases.
  • Assist in reviewing the time data for accuracy and further processing of client billings.
  • Maintain strict level of confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact across the organization.
  • Extremely detail-oriented to create accurate and timely reports.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (advanced formulas, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot, Analysis ToolPak).
  • Identify, drive, and implement change opportunities and initiatives.
  • Excellent Organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to create, plan and successfully execute projects; the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple high-priority projects, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to assess size and scope of contemplated transactions and to tailor contracts and negotiation effort accordingly. Superior analytical and writing skills and ability, together with strong business and financial acumen.
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance in a previous job.
  • Results-oriented, strategic critical thinker, and planner.
  • Analytical forethought when self-managing and prioritizing deliverables.
  • High capacity to manage people through inspiration, accountability, education and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to reliably commute and report to the Tri Star office.
  • Experience with BQE Core software, preferred.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, preferred.
  • Experience with Excel, required.
  • Requires 8-12 years’ relevant experience with emphasis in database management and business analysis.
  • BS in Accounting or Finance.
  • Billing or accounts receivable experience with a law firm or supporting attorneys.
