New Market Development Specialist
Your Job
The New Market Development Specialist supports initial validation and ongoing exploration of New Markets. Working in tandem with the New Market Development team, this role participates in teardowns and research phases and partners with GSM to enable trainings and presentations on new markets. The Specialist contributes findings, technical context, and SME support to help the team assess attractiveness and to enable regional sales execution when segments move forward.
What You Will Do
New Market Research & Teardowns
  • Participate in product/system teardowns and hands-on technical assessments to uncover connection points, competitive differentiators, and customer needs.
  • Work with New Market Development team to document teardown findings, technical insights, and research outputs in a clear, actionable format for cross-functional stakeholders.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) & Training Support
  • Act as an SME for assigned new market segments to enable GSM and regional teams; prepare and deliver technical trainings, market overviews, and presentation materials.
  • Support, co-present, or lead customer and internal presentations, demonstrations, and workshops tailored to new market segments.
  • Develop and maintain concise SME reference materials (playbook inputs, technical briefs, FAQ sheets) to accelerate sales enablement and field adoption

Collaboration & Relationship Building
  • Work closely with the New Market Development team, Corporate Strategy, Business Units, and Regional Sales to align research, teardowns, and SME outputs with recommendations.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders (product management, marketing, distribution partners) to ensure consistent technical messaging and support for customer design-in needs.
  • Support regional teams by being available to consult on technical questions, account-specific requirements, and design cycle timing.

Prospecting & Lead Support
  • Provide technical qualification support for leads generated in new markets; help assess fit and escalate promising opportunities to the sales team.
  • Coordinate with distribution partners and regional teams on approaches to engage and penetrate new customers.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Demonstrated ability to distill technical findings into clear, actionable insights for sales and non-technical audiences.
  • Effective communicator and presenter - comfortable delivering trainings and supporting GSM presentations.
  • Results oriented and collaborative - willing to support regional teams and be responsive to field needs.
  • Knowledge of Molex network and product lineups (or equivalent connector/product ecosystem knowledge) is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support teardowns, customer engagements, and new market events.

Preferred Qualifications (optional)
  • Background in a relevant industry (automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, telecom, etc.) with exposure to OEM ecosystems.
  • Experience producing technical presentations and delivering in-field training sessions/presentations.

For this role, we anticipate paying $85,000- $95,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form .
