Job description

CHOC Medical Group is looking for a dynamic, full-time Adolescent Medicine Specialist with strong clinical and teaching skills to join a growing program at Childrenโ€™s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC), a premier healthcare system based in Southern California. CHOC is exclusively committed to the health and well-being of children through clinical expertise, advocacy, outreach and research that brings advanced treatment to pediatric patients. 
The successful candidate will help set direction for adolescent medicine program growth and expansion.  
The position is primarily clinical, providing outpatient specialty care services for 13- to 21-year-olds from the local community and throughout the county.
Outpatient specialty care services include eating disorder and transgender care with a multidisciplinary team, reproductive health, mental health, LGBT health, and other consultation in adolescent medicine.
 In addition to outpatient services, the adolescent specialist will provide, limited, inpatient consultation services as requested by the local hospitalist team.
Academic opportunities with the University of California-Irvine, with responsibilities for CHOC pediatric residents as well as fellows from various disciplines.
Research is encouraged but not required.
 Minimum Requirements: Board Certified/Eligible in Adolescent Medicine; CA Medical License
Pay Type: Salary          Min Hiring Rate: $189,000.00                          Max Hiring Rate: $236,000.00
