Work Environment

As a remote Social Worker for Entryway Family & Psychiatric Services, you will work closely with school systems, students, and their families from the comfort of your home or another location of your choosing. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for students and their families, identifying emotional, social, and environmental factors impacting their well-being.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs of each client.
• Collaborate actively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, fostering communication between families, educational staff, and healthcare providers to implement coherent support strategies.
• Facilitate effective discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare professionals, insurances, and community resources, ensuring a smooth transition for clients returning to their home and school environments.
• Provide psychoeducation and counseling to assist patients and families in coping with significant illnesses, diagnoses, and the implications on their daily lives.
• Utilize crisis intervention techniques and therapeutic modalities, including individual, group, and family therapies, to support clients in overcoming emotional and behavioral challenges.
• Partake in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support as needed, ensuring timely intervention during critical times.
• Engage in community outreach and educational initiatives, enhancing awareness of mental health resources available for children and families.
• Present at professional conferences and workshops, sharing insights and knowledge on psychosocial oncology practice as an expert in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on children and adolescents within school settings, along with their families, who may be grappling with various challenges, including mental health issues, chronic illness, and the complexities of navigating the educational landscape. The work is deeply impactful, providing vital support to those in potentially vulnerable situations and fostering resilience in young populations.

Qualifications

• A valid Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Strong understanding of psychosocial assessments and therapeutic intervention strategies.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
• Experience working within school settings or with youth populations is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience providing mental health services in a school context or related settings.

• Understanding of community resources and the ability to navigate them for patient benefit.

Compensation and Benefits

Entryway Family & Psychiatric Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
