As a software engineer, you can resolve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast, agile environment. This role is more than just coding. As a software engineer at Booz Allen, you'll use your passion to learn new tools and techniques and identify needed system improvements. You'll help clients overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches, tools, and technologies. You'll help make sure the solution developed by the team considers the current architecture and operating environment, as well as future functionality and enhancements. You Have:
  • 2+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages, including Java or JEE
  • Experience with backend frameworks, such as Spring Framework or Spring Boot
  • Experience with API development, including REST architectural style
  • Experience with Linux OS and command line interface
  • Experience with NiFi
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP, within 6 months of start date

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with network security, including access and authorization for PKI and chain trusting
  • Experience with writing unit tests and E2E testing
  • Experience with Non-Relational Databases, including MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, Git, and GitLab
  • Knowledge of Apache NiFi and Kafka
  • Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions
  • DoD 8570 Compliant Certification, including Security+ or CISSP Certification

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
