Job description

Position Overview

We invite you to join our dedicated team at The Still Point as a Full-Time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) specializing in outpatient care. In this role, you will leverage your clinical expertise to provide compassionate support and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families navigating a variety of emotional and relational challenges. Your work will directly impact client well-being as you cultivate healing relationships and empower clients through evidence-based practices.

About the Organization

The Still Point is a community-focused mental health practice located in Pomona, California, committed to fostering resilience and recovery among our clients. Our forward-thinking team comprises professionals who prioritize ethical standards, inclusivity, and personal growth. As we expand our services, we aim to remain agile in addressing the unique needs of our diverse client population — all while championing the integrity and authenticity of therapeutic practice.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility to meet client needs while supporting a balanced work-life dynamic. Our outpatient office serves as a collaborative hub where clinicians engage in team meetings and case consultations, ensuring a supportive work culture. The operational hours are Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a consistent schedule that enhances both therapeutic effectiveness and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand clients' unique backgrounds and challenges.
  • Design and implement personalized treatment plans, utilizing high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy techniques tailored to individual and relational dynamics.
  • Deliver sessions via telehealth platforms (like SimplePractice and Zoom), ensuring a seamless and engaging client experience.
  • Maintain meticulous and timely documentation in adherence to California laws and insurance regulations, fostering accountability in client care.
  • Engage in collaborative discussions with other clinicians and support staff, contributing to a warm and team-oriented environment.
  • Participate in case consultations, clinical supervision, and ongoing staff training, ensuring continual professional development and enhancement of clinical skills.
  • Uphold ethical standards while maintaining client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and BBS regulations, reinforcing our commitment to safety and trust.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and neurodivergent individuals, offering tailored therapeutic support aimed at enhancing emotional and relational well-being. Your proficiency in various evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care, will guide your work in addressing each client's complexities and needs.

Qualifications
  • Active California licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, emphasizing the application of evidence-based practices.
  • Demonstrated capability in working with a range of populations and presenting issues.
  • Expertise in therapeutic modalities such as EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Comfortable utilizing EMR systems and virtual therapy platforms to enhance client interactions.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, Farsi) are highly valued and seen as an asset to our practice.
Preferred Experience
  • A background in community mental health or group practice is desirable, providing a strong foundation for collaboration and integrated care.
  • Experience working with families and couples in a clinical setting, demonstrating the ability to navigate complex relational dynamics.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $90,000.00 to $100,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits.
  • Health benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage to support your overall well-being.
  • Generous paid time off alongside paid holidays, promoting a healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to clinical supervision to support professional development and ensure the highest level of client care.
  • Malpractice insurance coverage to safeguard your practice and professional reputation.
  • Participation in a retirement savings plan to assist in your long-term financial goals.

At The Still Point, we believe in fostering talent and growth. We offer opportunities for advancement into leadership roles within our practice, encouraging continued professional development tailored to your aspirations.
