Job description

Assistant Engineer (Tire & Rubber Materials Testing)


Maxxis International USA is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join our Materials & Testing Development Team at the Maxxis Technology Center in Suwanee, Georgia. The Technology Center works closely with our global research and development teams to develop innovative tire technologies and deliver high-performance products for customers throughout North America.


This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a background in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field who is interested in applying their technical knowledge in a hands-on laboratory environment. The successful candidate will play an important role in evaluating tire compounds, testing raw materials, analyzing data, and supporting the development of next-generation tire products.


This position is based at our Technology Center in Suwanee, GA. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to and work from this location daily.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory testing and evaluation of rubber compounds, polymers, chemicals, and other tire-related materials
  • Prepare rubber compounds, test specimens, and materials for testing
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used to evaluate material properties
  • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze experimental data
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and well-organized technical reports
  • Present findings and provide technical summaries to engineers, researchers, and management teams
  • Support research and development projects
  • Maintain laboratory records, testing documentation, and databases
  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and upkeep of laboratory equipment
