M&J is seeking an Office Engineer to assist with Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) duties. 

Responsibilities

Maintain project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, correspondence, and contract records. Track contractor submittals and shop drawings and coordinate review with project staff and VDOT personnel. Maintain quantity tracking logs and documentation for progress payment estimates in VDOT SiteManager. Assist with preparation and documentation of change orders, supplemental agreements, and force account work. Maintain document control systems and electronic project files in accordance with VDOT documentation requirements. Prepare meeting minutes for progress meetings, coordination meetings, and partnering meetings. Assist with preparation of monthly progress reports and project status reports required by VDOT. Support project staff with contract administration documentation, records management, and contractor correspondence. Assist with preparation of Contractor Performance Evaluations (CPE) and project closeout documentation.

Qualifications

Required Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction documentation or project administration.Preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification. NICET Level II or III certification. OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Training. Experience with VDOT SiteManager or similar DOT documentation systems.
