Job Title: Baker/Pastry Production

Location: Wildflour Restaurant – 200 Airport Blvd, Ste. 1, South San Francisco

Job Type: Full time - 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Reports to: Owner and Sr. Pastry Chef

Job Summary:

Wildflour seeks a dedicated and enthusiastic Baker to join the team. The ideal candidate will support the pastry team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality breads, pastries, cakes and crackers. This role requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of a variety of pastries, breads, cakes and crackers for in-house sales and catering events
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and utensils are sanitized
  • Help with the decoration and presentation of finished products
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist in monitoring inventory management
  • Participate in menu development and recipe testing
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
  • Support the pastry team in training new staff members

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a commercial bakery or kitchen required.
  • Basic knowledge of baking techniques and pastry arts.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creativity in food presentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, holidays and weekends as needed
