A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

As a CSR, you are the main point of contact when our valued customers need assistance. You are responsible for communicating with customers by phone, email, and our company's ticketing system. While maintaining a friendly attitude, you contact customers regarding past due payments and answer any questions related to services, billing, and contracts. You assist other departments with questions or issues that impact customers as well as provide timely responses through the service ticketing system.

In addition, you open or close accounts in our company's billing system and calculate the appropriate credits and charges. By maintaining inventory, you ensure our company's supplies and materials are always well-stocked. You escalate high-priority issues that come to your attention to senior management in a timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction. Helping others is what you love to do, and this is what makes you a great CSR for our telecommunications company!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of customer service experience working in a corporate, B2B environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and co-workers
  • Ability to stay calm and demonstrate patience when answering questions or resolving issues for customers
  • Excellent math skills and ability to run calculations quickly and accurately
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Currently reside in the Washington, D.C. metro area
