Job description

Front Desk Attendant

Ideal candidates are highly motivated, customer service-centric, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Front Desk Attendants offer friendly and expedient service to the property's guests and assist the racquets professional staff in shop operations, merchandise sales and other related activities. Beginners are welcome – while knowledge of tennis is preferred, previous experience is not required for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay Range: $19.00-23.00/hour based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Performs opening and closing procedures as determined by management.
  • Responsible for accountability of POS transactions made.
  • Collects applicable fees from members/guests and outside patrons as they arrive.
  • Makes court, clinic, lesson and special event reservations, in person or by phone.
  • Assists Membership Manager with member outreach, delivering the highest standard member experience.
  • Assists with monthly physical inventories if applicable.
  • May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required/needed.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the associates may be required to communicate with English speaking. customers or co-workers, the manuals for the equipment the associates may use are in English).
  • Retail sales experience is preferred.
  • Computer proficiency including but not limited POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media and other programs related

Working Conditions

  • Frequently stands and uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears.
  • Regularly walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches.
  • Regularly lifts up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
  • Noise level is moderate.
