Job description

Job Title: Assistant Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking a contract Assistant Project Manager to join our team and support our current staff. Due to recent changes, our team is currently lean, and this role is crucial to help manage our workload. This position has the potential to become permanent based on performance and ongoing project demands.

Responsibilities
  • Manage both Tenant Improvement (TI) and Base-Build projects ranging from $500k to $5 million.
  • Oversee projects in various sectors including retail, restaurant strip centers, assisted living, and childcare.
  • Create project schedules and budgets.
  • Select and manage subcontractors.
  • Assist in the estimating process for larger projects.
  • Provide daily and weekly progress reports to the team and run progress meetings.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in project management, specifically in construction.
  • Ability to create and manage construction schedules and budgets.
  • Proficiency in subcontractor selection and management.
  • Experience with commercial construction and project coordination.
  • Knowledge of RFI, change orders, and construction documents.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with project management software.
  • Experience in budget and schedule management.
  • Familiarity with submittals and change orders.
Work Environment

You will be working in the office five days a week, with occasional visits to job sites and attendance at progress meetings. The team is currently small, with three members in the office and five superintendents, offering the opportunity for quick advancement into leadership roles.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lutherville Timonium, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $44.00/hr.
