Job description

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in commercial flooring projects around the Bay Area. This is a full-time position that includes communicating with customers, vendors and installers on commercial flooring projects. Applicants must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as knowledge of flooring and construction management principles. We seek high-quality people to join our high-quality team.

Responsibilities

Acts as single point of contact and holds responsibility for all aspects of installation projects, from inception to final close-out.

Plans, coordinates and oversees all tasks, critical dates, client and third-party interface and relations, as well as performance quality and customer satisfaction.

Manages General Contractor (GC) relationships, attends construction meetings, and coordinates with GC to maintain project schedule.

Ability to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working.

Prepares and issues Installers work orders.

Manages the completion of Punch-list and issuance of the warranty and maintenance files to the General Contractor.

Ensure the appropriate profitability of each project.

Coordinate multiple installation crews and maintain job schedules.

Verify quality of installation, work performance, and work order completion.

Reading and understanding blueprints using Take Off/Estimating Software

Bidding construction projects

Ordering project materials

Tracking project completion

Negotiating and tracking change orders

Qualifications

Detail-oriented individual with a passion for managing commercial flooring construction projects.

At least 5 years of previous experience in commercial flooring is desired.

Strong creative and critical thinking, self-starter

Strong written and verbal communication

Excellent customer service skills

Strong time management and organization skills

Proficient math and analytical skills

Ability to work with initiative and independence, as well as team environment.

Associates Degree Required. Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
