Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Category: Operations

Job Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager will assist with coordination, preparation, processing, distributing, and tracking all construction documentation associated with projects, development and execution of project plans and schedules, monitor project performance, and identify resources needed to complete projects while upholding the company’s quality reputation and ensuring 100% client satisfaction.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day activities for projects in all phases of construction
  • Assist with preconstruction deliverables including submittals, shop drawings, safety plans, and any other required documentation
  • Assist with design and engineering requirements for awarded projects
  • Assist with project scheduling
  • Project tracking and logistics planning
  • Review project documents including contracts, specifications, and project drawings
  • Budget reviews and analysis including any variation from baseline
  • Create requests for proposals, work orders, change orders, RFIs, and purchase orders for PM review
  • Supply chain management
  • Assist with project billings
  • Close out projects including compiling Operations and Maintenance manuals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to set priorities independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, or Bluebeam; Procore experience preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and contractors
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manage financial budgeting

Education and Experience:

  • A degree or working towards a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field of study
  • 1-5 years of experience working in a related construction industry
  • Knowledge of commercial roofing, specifically with single-ply, asphalt, cold applied, hot applied and metal projects preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time

Travel 

  • Capacity for occasional travel to local and regional job sites 3-5 days per month
