Job description

I'm working with an established and growing commercial General Contractor in Palm Beach County that is looking to add an Assistant Project Manager to its team.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their construction career who wants more responsibility, exposure to strong commercial projects and a genuine path towards becoming a Project Manager.


You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and Superintendents across a variety of commercial construction projects throughout South Florida, gaining exposure to the full project lifecycle from preconstruction and buyout through construction and closeout.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Support Project Managers across multiple commercial construction projects
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
  • Assist with subcontractor procurement, buyout and scope reviews
  • Coordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, architects and owners
  • Track schedules, budgets and project progress
  • Assist with OAC and subcontractor meetings
  • Maintain project information and documentation in Procore
  • Help identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule
  • Support project closeout and turnover


What We're Looking For

  • 1–4+ years of experience in commercial construction
  • Current Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager or similar experience
  • General Contractor experience preferred
  • Good understanding of construction drawings and project documentation
  • Experience with RFIs, submittals and subcontractor coordination
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Procore experience is a plus
  • Construction Management, Engineering or related degree preferred
