Project Engineer - Stormwater This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and highly skilled stormwater professional who wants to be part of Muller Engineering Company's growing team. Our employees follow a hybrid work schedule, with the majority of our staff located throughout Colorado's Front Range. We welcome applicants from across the continental United States, with a preference for candidates who are currently located in Colorado or are willing to relocate. Duties and Responsibilities: Design stormwater improvements, including stream restoration and stabilization measures, culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, and erosion and sediment control measures.

Design other public infrastructure improvements, including parks and facilities, trails, and localized grading projects with a focus on water resources. Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies and permitting, geomorphic evaluations, scour analyses, erosion and sediment control planning, and master planning, including Capital Improvement Program development. Assist with environmental permitting and regulatory coordination as needed.

Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D, construction quantities, technical specifications, reports, and other project documentation. Provide construction engineering support throughout project delivery. Coordinate and collaborate with project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects.

Provide technical guidance and support to design engineers and technicians. Support Project Managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and subconsultant management. Assist Project Managers with project management responsibilities, including project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and delivery, with oversight and guidance from the Project Manager.

Perform other duties as assigned.Education and/or Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited college or university; an advanced degree is a plus. 4-10 years of experience with a focus on the design of stormwater improvements, including stream restoration and stabilization measures, culverts and storm drains, detention facilities, and water quality features. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, such as HEC-RAS 1D/2D, SRH-2D/SMS, FLO-2D, HEC-HMS, CUHP, SWMM, StormCAD, and other culvert or open-channel design tools

Familiarity with MHFD and/or CDOT criteria is preferred. Experience with InfoWorks ICM is a plus. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer (ORD) is a plus.

Experience with GIS is a plus. Experience with construction engineering oversight and related processes and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational and time-management skills. Required License or Certification: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado, or the ability to obtain Colorado licensure through reciprocity or transfer from another state.
