Job Title: Project Operations Manager (Infrastructure/Construction)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Project Operations Manager to support the execution of large-scale construction and infrastructure projects. You will act as the "right hand" to our Project Managers, ensuring that our projects are delivered safely, on budget, and on schedule. This is a critical role that balances high-level project governance with on-the-ground execution.
This is a dynamic position for a professional who enjoys the intersection of technical engineering, financial controls, and stakeholder management. You will be responsible for integrating project lifecycles, monitoring cost-to-complete, and ensuring that our cross-functional teams and contractors remain aligned with our safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Integration & Control
โ€ข Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end integration of projects, including initiation, planning, execution, and monitoring/controlling. Ensure seamless transitions upon project completion.
โ€ข Financial & Schedule Oversight: Monitor project costs and schedules against defined baselines. Generate regular status reports, manage project accruals, and provide data-driven insights on project health.
โ€ข Risk & Quality Governance: Utilize standardized risk management tools to proactively identify and mitigate threats. Apply quality management processes to ensure every deliverable meets or exceeds client specifications.
Field & Stakeholder Leadership
โ€ข Cross-Functional Coordination: Align project resources for optimal productivity. Serve as the technical lead for information and coordination across the broader project team.
โ€ข Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders. Manage expectations, address concerns, and utilize integrated communication strategies to maintain transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
โ€ข Safety & Compliance: Ensure all projects are executed in strict accordance with safety, environmental, and organizational standards. Maintain a high level of on-site governance.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Engineering/Construction Management) with 2+ years of relevant experience, OR 5+ years of equivalent project management or technical construction experience.
โ€ข Technical Mastery: Expanded knowledge of PM methodologies, including the use of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS). Proficiency in scheduling, cost management, and risk management software/dashboards.
โ€ข Leadership: Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations, resolve conflicts, and lead teams under stringent deadlines and evolving conditions.
โ€ข Logistics: Valid driver's license and the ability to work in field environments (including exposure to dust, noise, and variable temperatures).
