What will you do?

  • The Duties and Responsibilities of the Test Engineering Lead role are focused on ensuring the successful completing of testing activities related to K-Hart's current and future farm equipment products.
  • Provide oversight of the prototyping process whenever new test apparatus or machines are being built for the purpose of K-Hart product validation.
  • Provide test engineering leadership and support on new product development projects during the lab testing and field-testing phases.
  • Provide test engineering leadership and support on current products while lab and field testing of updates is performed.
  • Ensure the accuracy of reports on failures observed during testing and solutions implemented to remedy the failures.
  • Perform maintenance and repair activities on large farm implements to ensure they remain operational, and testing can continue.
  • Work with design engineers to evaluate and implement design changes intended to fix observed failures and validate their effectiveness in solving the issues.
  • Work directly with farmers to train them in the operation of the test machines, and to obtain their feedback on performance and reliability issues they see and observe.
  • Travel, sometimes for 10-14 days at a time, to remote locations to test farm implements in the environment that they are commonly used in.
  • Assist in prototype builds and test setup

What do you need to succeed?

  • Engineering degree or Technological Diploma (Mechanical or Agricultural preferred)
  • Experience in testing or working with heavy equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and observation skills
