Job description

Responsible for leading and coordinating daily activities of shipping personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipment of products. Prepare labels and documentation, loading finished products and materials for shipment. Ensures that all outgoing shipments are accurate, properly documented, and handled with care using appropriate equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assign work, monitor productivity, and provide guidance and training to shipping team members.
  • Prioritize shipments based on customer requirements, deadlines, and production flow.
  • Load trucks, vans, and containers with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain accurate shipping records in ERP or shipping systems.
  • Verify correct quantities and documentation for all outgoing shipments, including photographic records.
  • Resolve shipping discrepancies, shortages, and documentation issues promptly.
  • Mark and label products with proper identification and destination.
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with supervisors and leads to improve shipping methods and reduce load times.
  • Maintains proper care and minor maintenance of shipping and loading equipment.
  • Assist in training coworkers on shipping techniques, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner, utilizing required safety equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
  • Complete production reports and other required documentation.

Education:
  • High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.
