Position Overview
We are seeking a Program Specialist to support complex program operations at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) involving integrated program management, data-driven analysis, and cross-functional coordination. This role supports surveillance, research, reporting, and decision-support activities within a fast-paced, mission-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and analytical skills, experience working with multiple data sources, and the ability to support collaborative operational initiatives. Key Responsibilities
  • Support integrated program management and operational coordination activitiesย 
  • Assist with data aggregation, validation, tracking, and reporting across multiple information sourcesย 
  • Prepare analytical reports, summaries, dashboards, and presentation materials for leadership and stakeholdersย 
  • Support data management activities, including quality assurance and documentation processesย 
  • Coordinate activities across technical, analytical, and operational teamsย 
  • Assist with research support activities, surveillance coordination, and program monitoring effortsย 
  • Track deliverables, schedules, milestones, and action items to ensure program objectives are metย

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or higher
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experienceย 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearanceย 
  • Experience supporting program coordination, operations, reporting, or analytical activitiesย 
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsย 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPointย 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environmentย 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting data analysis, reporting, or operational support functionsย 
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems, research support, or large-scale program coordinationย 
  • Experience working with structured and unstructured data from multiple sourcesย 
  • Prior experience supporting federal or government contracting environmentsย 
  • Willingness to learn and support growth and capture support processesย 
  • Familiarity with responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, generative AI tools, and AI-assisted analytics practices.
