Department: Radiation Oncology

Job Title: Open Rank-Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor (open track)

Job Summary:

The Department of Radiation Oncology of the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a full-time radiation oncologist to work within the University of Colorado Health System, with the primary sites of practice at Memorial Health Central and Memorial Health North in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The successful candidate will join a division within the department that includes 6 physicians and 2 advanced practice faculty who participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical research as a member of the University of Colorado Cancer Center. The primary clinical focus will be breast cancer; additional expertise in the care of gynecological cancer patients is preferred.

This position requires the completion of an accredited residency in radiation oncology. Applicants must be able to obtain licensure for the practice of medicine within the State of Colorado, prescriptive authority and obtain privileges at our participating hospitals.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

This is an open-rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor,  Associate Professor, or Professor based on experience and qualifications as indicated below. To qualify for the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, the candidate must have achieved this rank or equivalent via an institution evaluation process similar to that at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Assistant Professor:

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology residency and ABR Board Eligibility at the date of hire.

Associate Professor:

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited radiation oncology residency and ABR Board Certification

  • 5 years of post-residency clinical experience

Professor:

  • Successful completion of an ACGME accredited radiation oncology residency program and ABR Board Certification

  • 7 years of post residency clinical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-residency clinical experience at an academic medical center.

  • Experience in treatment of breast and gynecologic malignances.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

Assistant Professor: $350,000 to $465,000 

Associate Professor: $385,000 to $495,000 

Professor: $425,000 to $537,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
