We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Turret Press Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for reviewing production schedules, verifying machine setup, ensuring quality standards, and supporting efficient press operations. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Schedule:
- Summer Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:45 PM – 11:45 PM
- Regular Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1:45 PM – 9:45 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Review production schedules and work orders to determine job sequence and requirements.
- Identify and report any inaccuracies or issues with schedules, materials, or work orders.
- Verify proper setup of the turret press before each job and assist in correcting any setup issues.
- Monitor machine operations and identify defects or material issues; stop production and report concerns as needed.
- Obtain approval before continuing production when defects are identified and assist with proper documentation.
- Perform required quality checks at designated intervals and record results accurately.
- Remove finished materials from the conveyor, package according to specifications, and move to designated storage areas.
- Weigh, tag, and properly store finished bundles.
- Track and record production activity, including start/stop times and downtime (maintenance, setup, quality, and operational delays).
- Monitor work area and team members to ensure compliance with safety standards; stop operations if unsafe conditions arise.
- Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and improve efficiency.
- Report equipment issues requiring maintenance or repair.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support workflow by communicating job requirements and maintaining steady production flow.
- Assist in training new employees as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Tape measures and micrometers
- Bar mic readings
- Work orders and production schedules
- Inventory tags
- Experience operating or willingness to learn:
- Turret press machinery
- Forklifts
- Table saws
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
- Basic computer skills for tracking production data.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely operate industrial equipment and machinery.
