Process Operator
Job summary:
This position supports manufacturing operations by running spray drying equipment and overseeing the production of powder-based products. The role requires strong attention to process control, the ability to work independently, and a focus on safety and quality within a production environment.
Responsibilities:
* Operate spray drying systems to produce powdered materials used in food and industrial applications
* Handle startup, operation, shutdown, and sanitation of production equipment following established procedures
* Perform batching and blending of materials while monitoring process conditions and product quality
* Document production data, process readings, and system performance during each shift
* Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, working closely with supervision and engineering teams
* Assist with routine maintenance tasks to keep equipment operating efficiently
* Direct and coordinate material handlers during production and cleaning operations
* Oversee full system cleanouts between product runs to ensure quality and compliance standards
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production area at all times
* Follow all safety protocols and operating procedures
Requirements:
* Ability to work one of the following schedules:
- 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday
* Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
* Valid driver"s license and reliable transportation required
* Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or material handling environment
* Familiarity with batching, mixing, or similar process-based operations
* Experience with PLC-controlled equipment preferred
* Knowledge of cleanroom environments and cGMP practices is a plus
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and leadership
* Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and safely navigate ladders and stairs
