Medical Assistant (Corvallis & Salem Clinics)

Corvallis/Salem, OR
Pay: $19-22/hour

Full time: Monday - Fridayย 

Medical Assistants do not work weekends, holidays, or evening hours.

At Black Stone Health, you'll be part of a dedicated team led by a physiatrist-a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation-who provides comprehensive outpatient care for patients with diverse rehabilitation needs. Our team focuses on helping patients improve their quality of life through the evaluation, treatment, and management of sports, spine, and other musculoskeletal conditions.

This position will primarily support our Corvallis clinic but may also provide coverage and support at our Salem clinic as our practice continues to grow. The ideal candidate is flexible and comfortable working between both locations as needed.

As a Medical Assistant, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting providers in a fast-paced specialty clinic.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in the clinical setting

  • Room patients and obtain vital signs

  • Document patient visits and provide scribing support

  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate medical records

  • Obtain prior authorizations for medications and procedures

  • Verify patient insurance coverage

  • Triage patient calls and address patient concerns

  • Assist with interventional procedures

  • Coordinate patient care and follow-up as directed

  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical equipment
