  • Work schedule includes weekdays and Saturdays, some holidays, generally 8am to 5pm
  • Reports to Sous Chef, Commissary Manager


We are seeking a dedicated and skilled prep cook to join our team at Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a prep cook, you will be responsible for preparing and creating recipes to ensure high-quality food is delivered to our four restaurants.


Responsibilities

  • Review the Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned tasks
  • Comply with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen policies
  • Safely transport food supplies, equipment, and utensils between storage and work areas
  • Use Standard Recipe Cards for food preparation; avoid relying on memory
  • Prepare various foods (meats, vegetables, desserts) according to standardized recipes using approved cooking methods
  • Receive and store food supplies and equipment in designated areas
  • Utilize manual or electric appliances for food preparation tasks
  • Store food in properly labeled containers to prevent spoilage
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, including tables, shelves, equipment, and floors
  • Remove trash and maintain clean garbage containers
  • Complete opening and closing checklists and assist team members as needed
  • Notify supervisors of equipment issues and low inventory to facilitate timely ordering
  • Support team members to ensure efficient operations and high guest service standards
  • Standing and walking up to eight hours continuously
  • Lifting up to 50lbs alone, and up to 80lbs as a team
