Job description

This is a full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant position for the 2026-2027 School Year in the Caesar Rodney School District. Caesar Rodney School District is a grade K-12 district with approximately 8200 students. 
QUALIFICATIONS:  Candidate must meet State of Delaware licensure and certification requirements for Occupational Therapist Assistant. The State of Delaware may recognize a current Certified Occupation Therapist Assistant in another jurisdiction as a means of eligibility. 

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct and consultative therapy and collect data regarding student progress.
  • Assists the OTR with the development of treatment goals for students. 

  • Communicate effectively, orally and in writing, to parents, teachers, and program staff. 

  • Prepares and maintains student records and files.  

  • Attends meetings as appropriate. 

  • Provides training to classroom personnel in accordance with the IEP and under the direction of the OTR. 

  • Travels to various school sites and other educational settings for the provision of OTR services. 

  • Perform other related duties as assigned. 

SALARY:  In accordance with the State of Delaware and local salary schedules, based on experience and degree. Benefits package included.

  • Individuals must provide official transcripts, if applicable, updated resume, and three (3) letters of recommendation.
  • All persons employed by the Caesar Rodney School District are required to submit a criminal background check and a tuberculosis test.
  • Anyone offered employment is required to provide the following:  proper identification (Social Security Card and Driver's License), documentation of eligibility for employment in the U.S.A., completion of I-9 form, and completion of paperwork for the Delaware Child Protection Registry.
