About the Positionย 
This posting is not for a specificย position with the Edmonds School District.ย  Your application will be placed into an applicant pool forย Physical Therapists.ย  When filling positions, the Hiring Administrator may hire directly from this Pool or advertiseย individual positions.ย  Pool applicants should also apply for individual postings.
Edmonds School Districtย Physical Therapists provide physical therapy services for children ages 3 through 21 with identified physical disabilities, motor deficits, movement dysfunctions, and/or developmental delays that interfere with learning in the education environment.ย  As a member of the multidisciplinary educational/assessment team, Physical Therapists:
ย 








  1. perform program planning forย physical therapy or appropriate options for each individualized education program (IEP);
  2. provide treatment and management of the disability based upon results of evaluation, which may include direct and/or indirect therapy services;
  3. offer consultation and education on formal and informal levels with medical and educational professionals, paraprofessionals, and parents regarding educational programming and disability information.
  4. administerย physical therapy services within the educational environment (documentation, record-keeping, equipment, space requirements, supervisionย of classroom andย Physical Therapy Assistants)
  5. are responsible for monitoring the proper fit, use, and adjustment of specialized equipment;
  6. and conduct research and evaluation for schoolย physical therapy services.ย ย ย ย ย 


Required Qualifications:ย ย 
Valid Washington State Educational Staff Associate Certificate as a Physicalย Therapist.
Must possess or be willing to obtain a Washington Stateย Physical Therapist license.

Salary:ย ย 
2025-26 Salary Schedule Range: $83,305 through $148,226 (2026-27 Salary Schedule not yet finalized).ย Placement on this salary schedule is determined by FTE and official documentation verifying Educational Level and Certificated Work Experience and will be prorated for less than a full year and/or FTE.

Our benefits package includes Washington state health insurance coverage (SEBB) and a Washington state retirement package for eligible positions.












  • Eligibility for health insurance is based on whether the employee is anticipated to be compensated at least 630 hours per school year (September 1 through August 31). ย For the 2026-27ย school year a .5 FTE continuing contract position will meet that eligibility threshold. ย Eligibility for a non-continuing contract position will be determined at the time of hire by counting the total anticipated compensated hours from the date of hire through the end of the non-continuing contract.ย  Benefitsย include Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-term Disability, Life and AD+D Insurance and options for HSA, FSA and DCAP.
  • Eligibility for retirement is based on whether the employee is anticipated to work at least 70 hours per month for 5 months during the school year. ย For the 2026-27ย school year a .6 FTE (either continuing or non-continuing) meets that eligibility threshold.
